I had the distingusihed pleasure of meeting Minister George Werner a few weeks ago and I greeted him by saying “hi minister, how is it?” He replied in the usual friendly mood and said ” 11 more months, Jimmy, just 11 more months.”
Hmmm! It will soon be over and we will be passing the baton to the next breed of economic and political leaders to move our country forward.
It has not been an easy task but I am confident that those will come after us, will benefit from our mistakes for they won’t have to make those same mistakes, whatever those mistakes have been.
Yes! Minister Werner was right: 11 more months. And I hope those of us who had the opportunity to serve in the last few years know and understand that others should be allowed to make their contributions to state and nation building.
Yes 11 more months…

James F. Kollie: Notwithstanding of the imminent change of government in eleven months and the necessary and practical replacement of most incumbent principal economic and political leaders, there will be a need for complete and thorough auditing of the corrupt and incompetent régime to ascertain the full impact of the economic and political governance consequences over the past 12 years, particularly the performances of the Madame President’s preferred patronage cadre of the corrupt and incompetent civil and public servants, and the usual suspects.
